In Heaton’s urbanized take on Greek mythology, Hades has banished his seven sons from the Underworld until they have adequately dispatched some enigmatic threat prophesised by the fates. ![]() I suspect there may be at least six more installments. I have every intention of following this series throughout. Ares is book one in Heaton’s newest series, Guardians of Hades. I found the book highly entertaining and immediately became a Heatonite – if that’s a thing. She has written several PNR series and last spring I had the opportunity to review Haunted by the King of Death (Eternal Mates #11). I look forward to the next book in the series that is due out next year.įelicity Heaton boasts an impressive resume. It didn’t deter me from the story but was a little distracting. One thing that I did struggle with was that the author is from the UK and some items are called something different and I had to stop and look up words throughout the book to figure out what she was talking about. A little more information on the brothers would have helped increase the chance of readers waiting for future books. We only got a sneak peek at a few of the other brothers and only know what Daimon’s power is. They were full of passion and left you a little breathless.
